Kajian ini dijalankan untuk mengkaji tentang keberkesanan terapi permainan LEGO bagi mengurangkan masalah interaksi sosial dalam kalangan murid autistik. Dua orang guru Pendidikan Khas terlibat sebagai responden temu bual dalam kajian ini. Pendekatan pemerhatian turut dijalankan ke atas lima orang murid autistik. Pengkaji melaksanakan protokol temu bual bersama responden kajian melalui atas talian. Dapatan kajian mendapati bahawa terapi permainan LEGO adalah salah satu cara yang berkesan dalam meningkatkan kemahiran interaksi sosial murid autistik. Manakala dapatan pemerhatian mendapati murid autistik mula berkongsi blok atau kepingan LEGO bersama murid lain tanpa sebarang tingkah laku semasa pemerhatian. Oleh itu, dicadangkan supaya kajian ini akan memberikan pendedahan kepada guru pendidikan khas dalam mengaplikasikan permainan lego untuk mengurangkan masalah interaksi sosial dalam kalangan murid autistik.
This study was conducted to examine the effectiveness of LEGO play therapy in reducing social interaction difficulties among autistic students. Two special education teachers participated as interview respondents in this study. An observational approach was also carried out on five autistic students. The researcher conducted interview protocols with the study respondents online. The findings of the study revealed that LEGO play therapy is an effective method for enhancing the social interaction skills of autistic students. Meanwhile, observational findings showed that autistic students began to share LEGO blocks or pieces with other students without exhibiting any problematic behaviors during the observation. Therefore, it is suggested that this study provides insights for special education teachers in applying LEGO play therapy to reduce social interaction difficulties among autistic students.
